Offsite Tours
The CHRS is pleased to offer the following offsite tours on Saturday September 12, 2026 following the conclusion of the scientific portion of the meeting . Registration is required, spaces are limited and extra fees apply. Transportation will be provided.
Victoria Harbour Tour
3:30 PM - 4:30 PM
This one-hour charter is a relaxed, extended tour through Victoria’s Inner and West Harbour. Your captain will share some of the area’s history, including First Nations stories and what life was like for early residents, while pointing out key spots along the waterfront. You will also pass by local wildlife habitats, with a chance to spot some animals, as well as the unique float home communities that make the harbour so distinctive.

Victoria Gorge Tour
3:30 PM - 5:00 PM
From historic neighbourhoods to restored ecosystems, this 90-minute guided Victoria gorge boat tour offers a unique glimpse into the city’s past and present. Cruise peacefully through working shipyards and scenic waterways aboard a quiet, environmentally friendly, zero-emission electric boat. Your Captain shares the history of the Coast Salish people, the lives of early Victorian residents, and the remarkable restoration of the Gorge after decades of industrial pollution.

Please Note:
- The Harbour Tour and Gorge Tours take place at the same time. You can only participate in one of the activities.
- Delegates who do not wish to participate in the above activities will have leisure time to explore the Victoria region.
